Nairobi half-life wins big

Kenyan films won five awards at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) held the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday.

Reports say that,the film stole the show by scooping four awards out of the seven categories which they were nominated in.

The winners included,Elayne Okaya for Best Makeup Artist, Mohamed Zain for Best Lighting Designer, Barbara Minishi for Best Art Director and Christian Almesberger for Best Cinematographer.

In other categories,Njoki Muhoho’s production Mama Duka won the best Indigenous Language Movie (Swahili) award.
